For one of my University projects I was tasked with creating a set of detail drawings for a given structural element within a real life project. Mine was Olson Kundig's 'Armadillo' structure within his HQ for Charles Smith Wines. I had to try and work out how it might have been built and with what materials. I then went on to build a mixed media model of part of the structure to show the construction and materiality. During this process I learnt a lot about construction and materiality as well as how to produce professional detail drawings.
